Youth Hub (Students 11–17)

Teenagers face unique challenges – questions of identity, peer pressure, and the pull of worldly distractions. The Youth Hub addresses these by focusing on tasfiyyah wa tarbiyyah specifically for adolescence. The portal will offer age-appropriate curricula: in-depth Q&A (for example on issues of belief, social behavior, and current events), school projects (such as research and presentations on Tawhid or Emaan), and worksheets that prompt critical thinking about Islamic principles.

One vital topic for youth is companionship. The Prophet ﷺ hadith warned that: “A man is upon the religion of his companion, so let one of you look to whom he befriends.”

— [Abū Dāwūd (4833), al-Tirmidhī (2378) who graded it ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ, Aḥmad and others].

The youth must choose virtuous companions who remind them of Allah and discourage sin or misguidance that leads to innovation based on desire. Thus the Youth Hub includes modules on the importance of good friends and community, with reminders and advices from the salaf al-saalih.

  • Curriculum Q&A: Provide topic-based worksheets and question prompts (e.g. Why is prayer important? What are harmful influences on youth?). This Q&A style mirrors the traditional method of teaching by question-and-answer and reflection.

  • Memorization & Murāja‘ah: Challenge youth to memorize longer Qur’anic passages or collections of hadith.

  • Printable Handouts & Study Guides: Upload ready-to-print resources on Aqīdah, Qur’ān tafsīr, manners etc. Youth can review independently or under supervision. Teachers and parents can easily distribute these in class or at home.

  • Mentoring & Guidance Resources: Provide articles and reminders on companionship, identity, and resisting fitan — these can be read privately or used as discussion starters with parents/teachers.

  • Avoiding Extremism and Misguided Groups: Youth are taught the Salafī position against all forms of ghulūw (extremism), including terrorist ideologies, and warned against falling into sects, parties, and movements that contradict the Qur’an and Sunnah. Modules provide authentic evidences on the dangers of the Khawārij, innovation, and partisanship, ensuring young Muslims remain balanced, safe, and steadfast upon the clear way of al-Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ.

Overall, the Youth Hub is designed to address the real challenges and struggles faced by young Muslims today. They battle against their own nafs, against misguidance in society, and against the pressure of negative peers. Many youth feel torn between worldly distractions and their duty to Allah. The Youth Hub emphasizes that true strength and identity come from clinging firmly to the Qur’an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf, which protects them from doubts and desires. It reminds them that companionship is crucial. Strong Muslims support one another in faith, helping each other to remain steadfast upon tawḥīd, prayer, good character, and resistance to the fitan (trials) of their time. The Youth Hub provides resources, reminders, and structured guidance that nurture confidence in Islām and cultivate the courage to live as upright Muslims in every environment.”

Through structured guidance and authentic knowledge, the Youth Hub provides materials that help them navigate adolescence with confidence in their Muslim identity — by following those who came before: al-Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ (the pious predecessors). In this way, they are nurtured step by step to purify their beliefs, cultivate sound manners, and grow into strong, steadfast Muslims who carry Islām with clarity and conviction.”

Notes:

Tasfiyyah; To purify and correct—our heart, (including homes and classrooms) by removing anything that contradicts The Qur’ān and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf (pure Islam)— whether wrong beliefs, innovated practices, or harmful habits.

Tarbiyyah; is to nurture, cultivate, and educate children step by step upon the Qur’ān and the Sunnah, as understood by the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ. It means raising them upon correct creed and sound belief, establishing them in prayer, instilling noble manners, and cultivating love for Allah, His Messenger ﷺ, and the entirety of Islām.

Shaykh al-Albānī رحمه الله said: “The key to a return of the glory of Islām is two matters: tasfiyyah (purification) and tarbiyyah (education). Tasfiyyah means purifying Islām from what has entered into it of shirk, innovations, weak and fabricated narrations, and the mistakes of scholars. Tarbiyyah means cultivating the young generation upon this purified Islām giving to them a correct Islamic education from the start, so that they grow upon it without deviating. ”

— [Shaykh al-Albānī, Ṣaḥīḥ al-Mawārid al-Naqiyyah, introduction; also referenced in Ṣifah Ṣalāt al-Nabī introduction]
